Feeling Wobbly? Your Body is Trying to Tell You Something

If you’ve been feeling off-balance lately—wobbly, unsettled, like there’s a low-grade anxiety humming through your body—you are not alone. The collective energy is in flux, and it is deeply affecting us on a somatic level. The Earth herself is shifting, responding to the frequency of our human collective, just as we are mirroring her movements.

What does that mean? It means that the turmoil, intensity, and uncertainty you feel aren’t just yours. The collective field is shifting, but you have the choice to stay anchored as rather than be consumed.

This is the time to double down on your spiritual practices, and more specifically, your body-based spiritual practices. If you’ve been using meditation to leave your body, to escape, or to dissociate—you’re doing it wrong. Right now, the most important thing you can do is be in your body, to feel what is moving through it, and to process rather than suppress.

No amount of pills, numbing, or distraction will make these feelings go away. They may dull them for a time, but unprocessed emotions always return—often louder and more disruptive than before. The only way out is through.

So What Can You Do?

I’m all about practical tools—so here are some simple, somatic spiritual practices you can use today to anchor into your body and move through the wobble with greater ease and clarity…

1. Shake It Out

Yes, literally. Animals shake after stressful events to reset their nervous systems, and we can do the same. Stand up, put on some music, and shake your entire body for at least 2-3 minutes—especially your hands, legs, and hips. Let your body move however it wants. This helps release stored tension and recalibrate your energy.

2. Breathwork: The Deep Belly Reset

Many of us breathe shallowly when we’re anxious, which keeps us in a fight-or-flight state. Instead, try this:

  • Inhale deeply through your nose, expanding your belly like a balloon.

  • Hold for 4 seconds.

  • Exhale fully through your mouth, making a sound (sigh, hum, moan—let it out!).

  • Repeat 5-10 times, focusing on sending breath down into your belly and hips.

This will anchor you back into your parasympathetic nervous system (the state of rest, safety, and healing).

3. Lay on the Earth (Or at Least the Floor)

Earthing—literally lying on the ground—can help reset your system. If you can, go outside and lay on the grass, the sand, or anywhere in nature. If that’s not possible, lie flat on the floor, spread out like a starfish, and let gravity hold you.

Breathe and imagine the Earth absorbing your excess energy. Feel her steady presence beneath you. You are not alone in this.

4. Sound It Out

The vagus nerve (which helps regulate our nervous system) responds to vibration and sound. Try this:

  • Hum

  • Chant “OM”

  • Sing (even if you think you can’t)

  • Let out a deep, guttural sigh

Vocalizing helps move stagnant energy and signal to your body that you are safe.

5. Self-Touch & Soothing

We often wait for someone else to comfort us, but we can provide that for ourselves.

Try:

  • Placing a hand on your heart and another on your belly, taking deep breaths.

  • Gently tapping on your sternum (thymus tapping) to activate your energy flow.

  • Stroking your own arms, like you would comfort a child.

Your body wants to feel safe. It just needs the signal from you.

6. Move Your Spine

Your spine holds so much energy. Try simple movements like:

  • Cat-Cow stretches (arching and rounding your back)

  • Rolling your shoulders slowly

  • Twisting side to side

  • Swaying your hips

Let your body move in spirals and circles—this mimics the natural energy flow of the Earth.

You Are Built For This

This moment might feel wobbly, but it’s also an invitation. The Earth is shifting, we are shifting, and everything is asking us to come back into alignment—not by floating away, but by grounding deeper into ourselves.

If you feel off, listen. Your body is communicating with you. Honor it, move it, breathe into it. The more you tend to yourself in this way, the more stable and clear you will become.

We are moving through this together. And we are built for this.

Take a deep breath.
Feel your feet on the ground.
You are safe. You are held. You are here.

Now go shake it out.
